disinterested is the side project of trespassers william guitarist matt brown. 'the past is never far' was originally self released in 2003 and later re-issued by skean dhu recordings the same year. both releases were limited pressings and have been long out of print. the digital album version includes three previously unreleased tracks: two collaborations with the ambient artist klassen and one unreleased tracked called "clearest".
